TAN French Terry / Stretch Sweat Knit Fabric
This fabric is a soft, comfortable knitted fabric made primarily of cotton, with the addition of elastane for stretch recovery.
With less stretch than a single jersey it’s easy to sew, even for a beginner… It’s also easy to care for, being wrinkle resistant and machine washable.
French Terry can either be loop or brush backed. This is the brushed version, also known as Stretch Sweat, which features a cosy brushed back. The result is a fabric that is smooth and jersey-like on the outside and soft and snuggly on the inside. Slightly thicker than the loop back french terry the brushed back adds volume and warmth without adding too much bulk. It is also known as 'Summer Sweat' fabric.

Suggested uses: Classed as midweight this fabric is very versatile. It is ideal for making babies’, children’s and adults’ clothes, sweatshirts, tops, dresses, hoodies, joggers, rompers, etc. It can also be used to back quilts and make soft toys as a soft, stretchy, easy-washable alternative to plain cotton.

If you order multiple quantities of the same fabric it will be cut and sent in a continuous piece, so order 2 metres and you will receive a 2 metre piece.

Care: Manufacturer says: 30 degree machine wash. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure.
